Survey Technician

Crawford & Associates Engineering & Land Surveying, PC, a multi-disciplined engineering and land surveying firm that serves public and private clients throughout the Hudson Valley and Capital Region, is looking for Land Surveyor Technicians to join the growing survey team in our Hudson, Columbia County office. Crawford & Associates’ Land Surveying Division specializes in boundary and topographic surveys, subdivisions, ALTA surveys, drone surveying, aerial ground control and construction layout.   
 
The Survey Technician contributes to the completion of all facets of survey work performing a variety of field and office tasks working under the direction of a licensed land surveyor.
 
Responsibilities include deed research and analysis, processing of raw data, survey calculations and CAD drafting, and file management in the office. In the field the survey technician assists with all aspects of fieldwork including reading and preparation of plans, collecting and recording field data utilizing a combination of manual and robotic totals stations, GPS receivers and data collectors.
 
Though not necessary for someone with a surveying degree, the ideal candidate will have either through work related experience or classroom instruction, familiarity with traditional surveying methods, boundary analysis and/or CAD drafting. An Associates’ or Bachelor’s degree in survey technology is preferred.
 
Compensation Package Crawford & Associates offers a generous compensation package that includes PTO and vacation time, 401K with company match, fully paid healthcare, overtime pay and salary in the range of $22 to $30 per hour.
