The City of Hudson Senior Center and Hudson Area Library are continuing the popular monthly Watercolor with your Grand Person sessions with local artist Gretchen Kelly. All ages are welcome and adults are encouraged to bring children from their families; children must be accompanied by a grandparent, parent, teen or other adult. In these workshops beginners and intermediate painters paint from seasonal still lifes, objects, and photos. Attendees can learn basic techniques or just hang out and paint with others. All workshops are Saturdays 2-4pm. Interested persons should register ahead of time by emailing programs@hudsonarealibrary.org, calling 518-828-1792 x101, or visiting the main desk at the library. All materials will be provided. This event is free and wheelchair accessible. The September 21 class features seasonal handpicked local botanicals in bud vases and bouquet arrangements, back to school still lifes with books and picture references of animals. October 19’s themes include seasonal handpicked fall botanicals in arrangements with pumpkins and gourds, bats, ravens, skeletons, skulls, bugs and creepy creatures for Halloween.
