The Hudson Area Library, Drop Forge & Tool, and The Creativity Caravan are partnering again this spring for miniature book-making events in anticipation of a Hudson-wide exhibit of tiny books. Bookmaking workshops will take place Tuesday, April 25 in the Community Room at the Hudson Area Library. A workshop for seniors and other library patrons will run from 1-3 p.m.; a program with members of Perfect Ten teen group and Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood children will take place from 4-6 p.m. Both sessions at the library are free to attend and open to the general public. The workshops will be presented by Amy Tingle and Maya Stein of The Creativity Caravan, a studio, gallery and “imaginarium” located in Montclair, NJ. These workshops are in anticipation of “Let Me Tell You: Tiny Books, Big Ideas,” a community exhibit scheduled to debut at Drop Forge & Tool, a creative arts residency and workshop space located at 442 Warren Street, on May 22, 2017. Participants in the tiny book workshops will be invited to submit their creations to the exhibit, which will run through June 25, 2017.
