Mark your calendars for our annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 11 from 11am-3pm!
For over 25 years, Hawthorne Valley has offered this free festival to celebrate agriculture, ecology, education, art, and community! It has become an autumn tradition for thousands. This year’s festival will include many of our beloved activities, including a marionette performance by The Magical Puppet Tree, children’s craft activities, horse rides, cider pressing, hay rides, a vendor market, and more!
Also, enjoy delicious, organic, local foods, live music, and a variety of local vendors and artisans!
Stay tuned for more details (including how to sign up for this year’s Pie Baking Contest!).
TBA
The Early Childhood Faculty will present “Pico the Gnome,” based on the beautifully-illustrated children’s book by local artist Martina Müller. Performance times will be 11:30am, 1:30pm, and 2pm in the Morning Star Kindergarten. Tickets are $5, and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis in Turose starting on Monday, October 6.
Be sure to stop by Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School to learn more about our holistic, integrated education for Early Childhood through Grade 12. Speak with teachers, see examples of student work, and tour the school.
Stop by the tent outside the Farm Store to talk with staff from MyBacon, Natalie’s, and Tree Song while trying some of their delicious foods, and pick up samples from other amazing companies, including Bjorn Qorn, Bob’s Red Mill, Bola Granola, Gimme, GoMacro, Humble Chips, Justin’s, McGrath & Nature’s Path.
We’re also raffling off baskets of product to raise funds for the ongoing maintenance of the Biodiversity Trail at Hawthorne Valley. We’re grateful to everyone who donated to the baskets, including Hydro Flask, Orgain, Nature’s Path, Humble Chips, Mary Ruth’s, Country Life, Dr. Hauschka, Carlson & Weleda!
