This program will take place each day from 10am until noon MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY. Blast off this summer with the Hudson Area Library Summer Reading Program! This summer we celebrate the legacy of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing with “A Universe of Stories.” Cadets, birth to 7 years old, in the HAL Space Program under the direction of the children’s area staff will explore the cosmos with a focus on books and activities in the fields of science, art and history. The HAL Space Program runs from Monday-Friday, July 1-August 2, 10am-12pm. HAL Space Program is led by children’s librarian Janice Scali; Marlene Parmentier, MC Smith Intermediate teacher and Americorps workers Christa Shook and Mary Shivers. The Hudson Area Library Summer Reading Program helps to build literacy skills while also maintaining a positive attitude towards reading and learning during summer vacation. This summer, all library youth programs will have online registration. To register for the program, go to hudsonarealibrary.org/srp or stop by the library for assistance with online registration. Youth are also invited to log their reading this summer. Let’s see how many books we can read as a community! Each time you read a book this summer, submit your book info via the library’s online Summer Reading Book Log at hudsonarealibrary.org/srp or pick up a paper book log at the library. Those who log their reading will be eligible for a special HAL Space Program patch and other rewards. For any questions please email youth@hudsonarealibrary.org or call 518-828-1792. Happy Summer Reading!
