Friends of the Hudson Area Library to host book and bake sale
The Hudson Area Library, located in Hudson Armory.
HUDSON — The Friends of the Hudson Area Library will host a three-day Book & Bake Sale September 18-20 in the Community Room of the Hudson Area Library, 51 N. Fifth St.
The sale will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, September 18 and 19, and from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, September 20.
Shoppers will find a wide selection of new and gently used books, including contemporary fiction, biographies, history titles, cookbooks, art books, humor and how-to guides, all for $1 or $2. Puzzles, CDs and DVDs will also be available at discounted prices.
Organizers say this year’s sale features a particularly strong selection of children’s and teens’ books, all gently used and suitable for younger readers.
The event will feature a bake sale with homemade treats, as well as chocolate bars from Vasilow’s Confectionary.
Community members who wish to contribute baked goods may drop them off at the Hudson Area Library between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, September 18, or Friday, September 19.
Proceeds from the sale will support programs and initiatives at the Hudson Area Library.
Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted.
