The program, “Page to Stage”, will run July 10 - August 3, Monday - Thursday, 5 - 7pm with evening performances on August 2 & 3 and a morning performance on August 4. Participants will adapt children’s stories as interactive theatre pieces and will perform their original “Pajama Plays” with a PK through third grade and family target audience. Ms. Rusoff has taught and directed extensively in London, Los Angeles and New York. She founded and directed “The Atlantic Crossing Theatre Project” which originated works at the Edinburgh Fringe Theatre Festival. Her work has been seen on BBC and the ROYAL Festival Hall in England, as well as many repertory venues in Los Angeles. Ms. Rusoff is best known in Hudson for her work at the Hudson Opera House as the director of the highly successful Hudson Teen Theatre Project and for her abilities to inspire teens and develop their theatrical skills and talents. Carol has a unique rapport with teens and works well with young people of diverse experience and interest levels drawing out the best in each participant. This program is for teens of all levels of experience. Students will have the opportunity to learn theatre exercises, and practice improvisational and rehearsed theatre and scene work. They will choose from their favorite childhood stories and will create original plays to perform for audiences in the library’s community room.
