Sheep and goat producers join CCE Columbia-Greene, Ulster, and FAMACHA-certified trainer Jessica Waltemyer CCE Small Ruminant Specialist from the Cornell Pro-Livestock team, for hands-on FAMACHA training. Become certified on how to use the FAMACHA system to detect anemia in sheep and goats to make strategic deworming decisions. FAMACHA helps producers manage barber pole worm (Haemonchus contortus), a common internal parasite of small ruminants grazing. Registration is required and is limited to 15 registrants. Registration fee includes FAMACHA card for each producer that they will be able to use to check anemia scores in their flocks and herds.
