DESCRIPTION:Join us for a crafting course using a variety of hands-on sensory-friendly materials throughout the process of creating diverse decorations for the upcoming holiday season as we nurture interactive communication with the support of strategies that align with children's skills.   Craft: Each child will have the opportunity to make a holiday ornament.   Materials: Paint\, Spin Art Machines\, Glitter\, Glue\, Feathers\, Pompoms\, Ribbon\, etc.   Communication: Each child's communication will be nurtured throughout the course specific to the experience of making a holiday ornament and being part of the creative group experience! What is ThinkDIFFERENTLY? Launched in 2015\, the "ThinkDIFFERENTLY" initiative seeks to change the way individuals\, businesses\, organizations\, and communities relate to our neighbors with special needs. "ThinkDIFFERENTLY" is a call to action\, a genuine challenge to determine if we have it within ourselves to look past our differences and treat others the way we would hope to be treated. Too often\, too many with special needs are overlooked and their unique abilities are ignored. Instead\, we seek to lift each other up and embrace all residents of all abilities.
