DESCRIPTION:4 pm - 7 pm - Ensemble performances in the gazebo\n\n7 pm - 9 pm - Hudson Festival Orchestra under the tent\n\n"Hudson in Concert: A Community Celebration\," for full orchestra\, will include cultural favorites such as American hoe-down and barn dance\; African-American spirituals\, jazz\, blues\, and Gospel\; Latin music\; Cuban danzon\; Argentine tango\; Eastern European klezmer\; Bangladeshi songs\, and more \n\nYou may not be able to resist dancing along!\n\nHudson Festival Orchestra (HFO) will feature area professional musicians and special guest artists. Student musicians will perform with the orchestra\, as part of HFO's "Take a Seat in the Orchestra" mentoring program.\n\nJoin us beginning at 4 pm for smaller ensemble performances in the Henry Hudson Riverfront Park Gazebo\, featuring diverse cultural repertoire\, as our 55-piece orchestra prepares to take centerstage for our debut concert kicking off at 7 pm!\n\nAll attending children are invited to join "The Teddy Bears' Picnic" parade\, following a larger than lif teddy bear (a brave volunteer in a bear costume) to a picnic blanket with treats for all!\n\nWe also encourage you to bring a picnic to enjoy on the lawn!\n\nHFO seeks to promote Henry Hudson Riverfront Park as a community resource that contributes to a vibrant and inclusive Hudson. The concert will be performed under a large tent on the lawn overlooking the river and mountains\, a short walk from town.\n\nWe hope to make "Hudson in Concert" an annual free community event!
