DESCRIPTION:Learn How to Become a Habitat Homeowner!! Join us for an informational session where we will outline how to apply to become a Habitat Partner Family. Learn about the qualification process and how families are selected. Application packets will be available to take home and prepare for submission.\n\n \n\nHabitat homes are purchased by families through an affordable mortgages from a local bank or other lending partner who specializes in affordable homeownership lending. Along the way\, Habitat also prepares our families for successful homeownership through home-buyer education classes that are completed before they close on their homes and begin paying their affordable mortgages.\n\n \n\nOur program is straightforward\, based on three criteria:\n\n\n	A demonstrated need for housing\n	The ability to purchase a Habitat-constructed home through a 3rd party mortgage equaling 30% of your gross household income\n	The willingness to partner in the construction of your home and other Habitat projects through our "Sweat Equity" program.\n\n\nSpace is limited and pre-registration is required here: https://www.columbiacountyhabitat.org/blog/homeowner-information-session
