DESCRIPTION:Join us for the University at Albany Out of the Darkness Campus Walk on April 4\, 2020 in Collins Circle. Registration begins at 11am\, the walk will begin at 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Proceeds bring local and national suicide prevention and awareness programs of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention directly to the students/school. When you participate in the Out of the Darkness Walk\, you join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to invest in new research\, create educational programs\, advocate for public policy\, and support survivors of suicide loss. As the leader in the fight against suicide\, and thanks to walkers like you from cities across the country\, AFSP has been able to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025.
