SUMMARY:15th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep
DESCRIPTION:Join Riverkeeper and clean your local shoreline at 100 locations along the Hudson River from New York City to the Adirondacks with several projects in Columbia County! Each year on the first Saturday in May\, more than 2\,000 volunteers come together across hundreds of miles of shoreline in New York City and the Hudson Valley for Riverkeeper Sweep\, a day of service for the Hudson River. Volunteers clean up tons of trash\, plant trees\, and remove invasive plant species. Over 14 years\, Sweep volunteers have completed 1\,463 projects and removed 396 tons of debris\, including 2\,352 tires\, and planted or maintained thousands of trees and shrubs.
